Do I Need a Fast Charger?Updated 2 years ago

The fast charger is a great option and very useful in the case where you need a quick, emergency charge.

However, do you need one? Not necessarily.

If you charge your scooter semi-regularly and follow the proper guidelines, the standard charger that comes included with your scooter should be all that you need!

We recommend charging your scooter when it's around 25-50% battery capacity left, and not just when the battery dies. If you let the scooter battery completely drain, that can actually deplete your battery capacity.

Of course, as your battery drains, you will have less power available to the motor, and you will lose some top end speed. Charging your scooter regularly, when it's around 25-50% will ensure that you always have enough range and power.

Additionally, you can leave your scooter plugged in overnight without damaging the battery. The charger will automatically turn off when full, and by the time you wake up, you'll have a fully recharged scooter ready for your day!

Just don't leave it plugged in long-term! (12 hours or more)

We also don't recommend plugging it in too often. If the battery level is still around 75-80%, charging your scooter again can also deplete your battery capacity if done too often.

If you follow these guidelines, and regularly maintain and charge your scooter, you may find that you don't need a fast charger. Of course, the fast charger is still there for those quick emergency charges.
