Tire Inflation and DeflationUpdated a year ago
This guide will show you how to inflate/deflate tires on any Apollo scooter.
The recommended PSI for your tires is written on the sidewalls of every Apollo scooter tire. The recommended PSI for the Light and City is 50 PSI, and is 45 PSI for the Explore and Apollo Pro.
STEP 1: Locate valve
The valve will be located on the opposite side of the wheel from the motor. Spin the wheel until the valve is accessible.
STEP 2: Open valve
Take the cap off of the valve by turning counterclockwise.
STEP 3A: Deflate
Take a pen cap or other thin, sturdy rod. Press down on the pin in the center of the valve. You should hear the air exit the valve. Hold down until the sound subsides to completely deflate.
STEP 3B: Inflate
Take a hand pump or electric pump and attach it to the valve, making sure it is sufficiently tight. Follow instructions included with your pump to operate properly. Inflate to the recommended tire pressure, indicated on the sidewalls of the tire.
You're done! You have successfully inflated or deflated your tires.
